Raiders news: Former Raider Marshawn Lynch discusses vaccine hesitancy with Dr. Anthony Fauci

What a fantastic interview this was The interview we all didn’t know we needed. After Marshawn Lynch was in the news yesterday, he was back in the news today as he released an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci on his Youtube channel. The interview was more than 30 minutes and they discussed the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines as the U.S. continues to combat the pandemic. This really is a tremendous interview, and I highly encourage everyone to set some time aside to watch it. From Lynch opening up the interview by calling Fauci “Boss”, to all the great and detailed...

The Raiders cut both players on Thursday. Raiders poll: What do you think about players boycotting in-person OTAs?

Together Raiders | Photo by Christian Petersen/ Let us know your opinion on Las Vegas players opting to go virtual The biggest ongoing story in the NFL right now has the Las Vegas Raiders’ roster fully involved. On Thursday afternoon, the Raiders joined the growing list of rosters around the NFL that have decided to boycott the in-person portion of the offseason program, which begins virtually on Monday. That means there will be no large group workouts and minicamps for the second straight year. The NFLPA has urged players to boycott and the union is citing concerns...

Thoughts on Raiders’ players decision to join OTA boycott

Jon Gruden at minicamp | Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports It’s a complicated situation On Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders players voted to take the advice of the NFL Players Association and boycott the in-person portion of the offseason workout program. Several other teams had previously decided to do the same. Let’s look at some aspects of this complicated, multi-layered situation: They really had no choice: Several teams have already decided to boycott in-person OTAs and I expect more teams to do so. However, I bet if some teams decide to attend in-person workouts, the...

Silver Minings: Raiders will be most expensive NFL game day experience in 2021

Jon Gruden, Derek Carr | Photo by Ethan Miller/ It will be pricey to see home games in Las Vegas The great news is that fans will likely finally be able to attend Las Vegas Raiders games at Allegiant Stadium in 2021. The reality, however, is that it’s not going to be cheap. Per Pickwise, going to Raiders home games in 2021 will be the most expensive game day experience for fans in the NFL. The average cost for fans for the season will be $3,450.26. On the flip-side, the Cincinnati Bengals are the cheapest fan experience on the NFL at $2,762.54. I don’t know about...

Raiders working on their own | Photo by Ethan Miller/ Las Vegas players join league trend The roster of the Las Vegas Raiders have decided, as a group, to stand behind the NFL Players Association and will boycott the upcoming in-person OTA season. A statement from the Las Vegas Raiders players: pic.twitter.com/OUQqvsphGp— NFLPA (@NFLPA) April 15, 2021 The Raiders’ players joined several other rosters in this decision. I’d expect most, if not all, rosters around the NFL to come to this conclusion. The Raiders met as a team on this Wednesday and Thursday and...

Raiders draft poll: Favorite tackle prospect

Christian Darrisaw | Photo by Joe Robbins/ Which of these four players would you rather have in the first round? There is a strong chance the Las Vegas Raiders use their first-round pick (by either trading up or down or keeping the No. 17 choice) on a right tackle who can immediately take over for Trent Brown, who was traded to the New England Patriots. There are four realistic prospects who could fit the Raiders’ needs at right tackle. This is your turn to let us know which right tackle you would like to see the Raiders draft. Let’s look at the...

Maurice Hurst | Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/ More 2018 Jon Gruden draft picks are jettisoned As they try to build the roster and prepare for another draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have given up on two Jon Gruden draft picks who should have been fundamental pieces of the 2021 roster. The team announced that they have released defensive tackle Maurice Hurst and defensive end Arden Key. They also cut quarterback Kyle Sloter, who had no chance of making the team. Raiders 2021 draft: Full mock with trades

Trevon Moehrig | Photo by Brian Bahr/ Our Las Vegas mock with some wheeling and dealing Earlier this week, we did a full Las Vegas Raiders mock draft. We are taking another crack at it with some spice by including trades in this mock. Before we start, below is our first mock: ROUND 1 No. 17 — USC Offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker:He’s still my top pick. I like that he is a a safe bet to be a quality player for a long time. No. 30 —- TCU safety Trevon Moehrig:We got a trade. The Raiders are sending No. 48 and No. 80. picks to the Buffalo Bills for the chance...

Silver Mining: Raiders’ salary cap spending is equaling out

Yannick Ngakoue | Photo by Abbie Parr/ But this means the defense has to come through The financial equality of the Las Vegas Raiders has changed dramatically this offseason. After the Raiders traded three high-priced offensive linemen — right tackle Trent Brown, right guard Gabe Jackson and center Rodney Hudson (who still has a lot of dead money) — and signed six defensive free agents, the gap has shrunk in the money being spent on offseason and defense in the big picture. According to OvertheCap.com (via the Associated Press), the Raiders are currently 15th in the...

Raiders draft history picking at No. 48

Raiders draft history picking at No. 48

Howie Long | Photo by Owen C. Shaw/ Is this a chance to get another Hall of Famer like Howie Long? On Tuesday, we looked at the Raiders’ draft history at No. 17 overall. That’s the pick Las Vegas has in the first round of the April 29-May 1 draft. The Raiders have a short, but fascinating history at No. 17, highlighted by the selection of Pro Football Hall of Fame guard Gene Upshaw. The Raiders’ history drafting at No. 48 (which they own in the second round of this draft) is even smaller, but just as cool. 1981Defensive lineman Howie Long: Upshaw’s teammate in...

Raiders draft 2021: A look at notable college football opt outs

Micah Parsons | Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports Will the Raiders look unkindly at these players who didn’t participate in the 2020 NCAA season? In our podcast this week, we discussed whether the Las Vegas Raiders will be among the teams that ultimately decide to stay away from drafting players who opted out of the 2020 NCAA season due to the coronavirus pandemic. There has been a lot of speculation that some teams may feel that players who opted out may not love football. Of course, Raiders coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock often say they are...
