Photo by Adam Bettcher/ A five run first inning was more than enough to seal this one. On a rainy Tuesday night in a meaningless game Matt Wallner absolutely destroyed a baseball. With the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the 1st, Wallner crushed an inside pitch 463 feet to right center for a grand slam. I’m not even sure where or if this ball landed, despite video evidence. That came after a bases loaded walk by Kyle Farmer, and gave the Twins a 5-0 lead. That was more than enough for Bailey Ober, who went 5 innings and gave up just 2 hits while striking...

Photo by Nuccio DiNuzzo/ The magic number moves again! After a week in which Twins Territory saw the magic number to clinch the AL Central descend on a daily basis, Saturday’s loss to the Chicago White Sox coupled with a Cleveland Guardians victory kept it a static 7. No such stationary status today, as the Minnesota Twins shut out the Sox and breezed out of the Windy City with a series victory. After four innings of trading outs, the Twins got to Chicago starter Dylan Cease first when a Ryan Jeffers single and Kyle Farmer walk set up an Edouard Julien oppo-taco for a...

Kyle Farmer hit a two-run homer to cap Minnesota's four-run seventh inning, Kenta Maeda threw seven strong innings and the Twins routed the Chicago White Sox 10-2 on Thursday night.

Photo by David Berding/ Second time ain’t the charm. This is the second straight game I’ve covered where Griffin Jax gave up a homer that ended up being the deciding run in the game. Ben can’t cover wins, I can’t cover good Jax performances. How’d we get there? Due to COVID fatigue, I fell asleep. During my slumber, Dallas Keuchel gave up four runs very quickly, lasting just four innings. With the Twins down 4-0, Matt Wallner and Kyle Farmer went back to back to halve the deficit. I woke up in the bottom of the fifth, just in time to see Max Kepler line a...

When Max Kepler smashed a middle-of-the-plate slider toward the seats above right-center field with the bases loaded and two outs for the Minnesota Twins in the seventh inning of a one-run game, he turned toward his dugout and smirked at his teammates.
Minneapolis Star-Tribune Sep 9, 2023
Kyle Farmer went 3 for 4 with a pair of two-out RBIs, Max Kepler hit a three-run triple and the AL Central-leading Minnesota Twins beat the New York Mets 8-4 on Saturday.
