Clay Buchholz (neck) goes on disabled list

Red Sox Blog | Providence Journal — By Brian MacPhersonBOSTON -- Clay Buchholz punctuated a brief bullpen session between games of Tuesday's doubleheader with a fist bump for his catcher. He even seemed to have a spring in his step as he jogged in from the bullpen. It was the most positive indication yet of the way he was feeling -- seemingly an indication that he was in line to make a start on Saturday in Detroit. But it was only a few minutes later that the Red Sox announced that Buchholz was being placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 9.
